Mahindra & Mahindra proclaimed the net profit for the quarter that started in April and ended in June. The company witnessed a net profit of 20 per cent for the quarter. M&M could achieve this profit on the back of its cars and stable raw material. The most popular and largest SUV maker, Mahindra & Mahindra registered a net profit (in terms of sales) 7.26 billion rupees which is $131.8 million for the first quarter of this financial year. The new profit figure for the first quarter in the last financial year was 6.05 billion rupees. The company?s sales increased 40 per cent to 92.48 billion rupees.
Mahindra has two of the most popular SUVs in India which include Mahindra Scorpio SUV and Mahindra XUV 500. Mahindra Scorpio SUV has been present in India for the last ten years while the Mahindra XUV 500 SUV was launched in India in the year 2011 in the month of September. The strong Mahindra XUV 500 mHawk engine pumps out a high power of 140 Bhp at 3750 Rpm and a peak torque of 330 Nm at 1600to 2800 Rpm.
