Lee Wetherington Homes reports three custom home sales in four months at The Founder?s Club in Sarasota, FL.
?This is a phenomenal sign of recovery in the Sarasota region,? said Peter Mason, vice ? president of sales for Lee Wetherington Homes. ?Summer is traditionally slow for real estate in Florida, and to see the luxury market picking back up again in The Founder?s Club is a great sign of things to come this season.?
All three of the new homeowners are local residents from the Sarasota County area.
?It?s really a strong indication that the local market is moving again,? said Mason. ?We made an initial investment of starting an inventory spec home to drive traffic and that?s exactly what happened,? said Mason. That inventory home is expected to be complete by late 2012. All of the newly sold custom-built homes have closing dates set for early 2013.
The homes sold range in price from $600,000 ? $900,000 and Lee Wetherington Homes has eight lots left to sell in the private, gated golf course community off Fruitville Road in Sarasota. The minimum size to build a new home in The Founder?s Club is 2500 square feet.
